Bio

Jen Kroeger is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans a variety of creative fields, including visual art, fashion design, graphic design, and textile art. With a lifelong passion for the arts, she was influenced early on by her grandfather, a commercial artist, illustrator, and painter. Growing up surrounded by art supplies, she developed a strong foundation in drawing and self-taught sewing, later expanding her skills through formal art and sewing classes in high school, college and beyond. Her artistic journey has been one of continuous exploration and reinvention, with a focus on vibrant, uplifting works that reflect her love of bold color and ever-evolving creativity.

After graduating at the top of her class with a degree in fashion design, she worked as an assistant designer for a high-end women's sportswear company, where she honed her skills working with luxurious European fabrics. Despite the challenges of the 2008 economic crash, which led to the closure of the company, her passion for design and art remained steadfast.

A move to Florida marked the beginning of a new chapter in her career. Initially pursuing custom clothing design and graphic design, she unexpectedly found herself working as a toy designer for a small company, a role that allowed her to tap into her playful and imaginative side. However, as the company closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, she embraced the lockdown as an opportunity to reconnect with her roots as an artist. She began creating textile art, using a vibrant fabric stash that had long been a dream to explore. Her work quickly gained attention on social media, leading to a return to painting and the establishment of a new creative direction exploring mixed media.

In 2023, she opened SRQ East Art Studios in Sarasota, Florida, a collaborative space for artists. Spearheading the project from concept to completion, she transformed a commercial building into a thriving creative hub with eighteen art studios, two galleries, and classroom spaces. Her dedication to building an artistic community is reflected in the supportive, inspiring environment she has cultivated for both herself and fellow artists.

She exhibits her artworks within SRQ East Art Studios and has formal gallery representation at Define Art Gallery and Studio on Palm Avenue in Sarasota. She was also recently featured in the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts as a Local Spotlight Artist and her work can be found in corporate and private collections.

With a career rooted in a wide range of creative disciplines and an unwavering dedication to her artistic journey, she is deeply committed to fostering artistic collaboration and innovation.
