Jen Kroeger is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Sarasota, FL. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she studied graphic and fashion design, earning a BA in Apparel Product Development from Mount Mary University in 2007. She paints bright, bold abstract landscapes and is currently exploring large-scale tapestry and sculpture, combining textiles, painting, and free-motion embroidery.
With a passion for creating community through art, she founded SRQ East Art Studios in 2023, overseeing twenty workspaces for creatives. She was featured as a Spotlight Artist for the Gasparilla Fine Art Festival in Tampa. She was also chosen as one of the sponsored emerging artists for the Florida Craft Art Festival in St. Petersburg. She recently installed a 20-foot tapestry in the City of Largo. Her artworks hang publicly in Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, RBC Wealth Management, the Horizon West Bay complex in Largo, FL, and also in private collections.
I create bright, bold abstract landscapes using acrylic on canvas, various mixed media, and stitching. I experiment with color and composition to process both my inner and outer world, seeking a brighter perspective through the lens of my art. Ranging from graphic to organic in style, my work is process-based and a continual exploration of joy, telling stories of experiences, real or imagined.
